AVB PRECIPRO (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED Shipping Policy

Last updated: January 15, 2026

1. Introduction and Scope

This policy outlines the export logistics and delivery process managed by AVB GLOBAL EXIM™ (Trade Name of AVB PRECIPRO (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED). As an Engineering-Led Merchant Exporter, we coordinate the logistics chain from the factory floor to the port of discharge to ensure compliance and efficiency.

2. Production Lead Time vs. Transit Time

Because we deal in Precision Tooling and Custom Components, clients must distinguish between:

  • Production Lead Time: The time required to machine, finish, and inspect the goods (defined in the Proforma Invoice).

  • Export Clearance Time: The time required for Indian Customs (AD Code compliance) and Port Handling.

  • Transit Time: The time taken by the Freight Forwarder/Carrier to deliver the goods after they leave the Indian port.

  • Regulatory Delays: We are not liable for delays caused by Regulatory Inspections (Customs/Drug Controller/AD Code checks) in India or the destination country. Such delays are considered Force Majeure.

3. Shipping Costs & Incoterms® 2020 All international transactions are strictly governed by the specific Incoterms® 2020 agreed upon in the Commercial Contract.

  • EXW (Ex-Works): The Client arranges shipping; our responsibility ends when goods are packed and ready at our warehouse/factory gate.

  • FOB (Free on Board): We handle transport and Customs Clearance up to the Indian Port; Client handles ocean/air freight.

  • CIF/CIP (Cost, Insurance & Freight): We arrange freight and insurance to the destination Port or Airport; Client handles import clearance and final delivery to their facility.

  • Shipping Costs: Calculated based on volumetric weight and destination. Any variation in freight rates between the Quote date and Ship date (e.g., fuel surcharges) may be passed to the Client with prior notice.

4. Duties, Taxes & Destination Charges

  • Client Responsibility: Unless strictly agreed as DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), the Client/Importer of Record is solely responsible for all Destination Customs Duties, VAT, Import Tariffs, and Port Handling charges in their country.

  • Demurrage & Detention: If the Client fails to clear the cargo within the "Free Time" allotted by the Shipping Line/Airline at the destination, any resulting Demurrage, Detention, or Storage charges are the sole liability of the Client. If the Carrier bills AVB PRECIPRO for these charges, the Client agrees to reimburse us immediately.

  • Documentation: AVB PRECIPRO (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED will provide a complete, compliant export documentation packet (Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading/AWB, and Certificate of Origin). We are not responsible for delays caused by Destination Customs inspections.

5. Packing, Insurance & Damages

  • Packing Standards: We enforce Export-Standard Seaworthy Packing (e.g., fumigated pallets, VCI rust-preventative packaging for machined parts) suitable for international transit to prevent corrosion and damage.

  • Insurance:

    • If Incoterms are CIF/CIP, we procure Marine Cargo Insurance on your behalf.

    • If Incoterms are FOB/EXW, the Client is strongly advised to purchase their own cargo insurance.

  • Damage Claims: In the unlikely event of damage:

    • Notify us within 48 hours of receipt with photographic evidence.

    • As the Exporter, we will assist in filing the insurance claim and dispute resolution with the Carrier.

6. Order Tracking & AI Logistics

  • Tracking: Once the shipment is handed over to the Carrier, we will provide the Master Bill of Lading (MBL) or Airway Bill (AWB) number and a tracking link.

  • AI Estimates: Please note that delivery dates provided by carrier tracking systems often utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI) for prediction. These are estimates only and do not constitute a binding guarantee of delivery on a specific date. We are not liable for deviations between AI-predicted and actual delivery times.
